PARK COMMISSION <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />515 Little Canada Rd. <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />December 15, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Park Commission of the City of Little <br />Canada was held on the 15th day of December, 1983. <br />The following members were present: Bev Scalze, Carl Spooner, <br />Jim Morelan, Dan Drake, Lois Runyon, and Elaine Zoch. <br />Nick Kent, Elaine Zoch, and Jim Morelan will be up for renewed <br />terms on December 31, 1983. <br />We did not get the grant for Gervais Mills from the state. <br />Greg Johnson - Antler Properties on Rice <br />Subdivision - charged 5% park charge $6,233.50 <br />Schrier - $3,200 paid in park charges for 32 unit apartment <br />building. <br />The City Council liked the park plans on Lake Street and the <br />Council directed Bill to publish pictures and call a public <br />hearing with the area residents. <br />A motion was made by Lois Runyon to publish and call a hearing <br />for the January Park Commission Meeting on Lake Street Park to <br />be held in the Council Chambers. Seconded by Dan Drake. <br />Paul Borg told Jim Morelan that there would be no problems with <br />a trail in the park to Gervais Mills. <br />A motion was made by Jim Morelan and seconded by Dan Drake. <br />With the approval of the park plans, the Park Commission would <br />like to request that the Council hold over the park's 1983 <br />Park Budget Funds of about $7,000 for the development of new <br />parks and trails in Gervais Mills. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:07 p.m. <br />The next meeting will be held on January 19, 1984. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Lois Runyon <br />Secretary <br />Park Commission <br />LR:kg <br />
