Carley, P.E. <br />City Engineer <br />City of Little Canada <br />515 East Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 <br />Ramsey County 1989 -91 Capital Improvement Program <br />Thank you for sending Little Canada suggestions for projects to be evaluated in preparing <br />Ramsey County Public Works Department's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The <br />City of Little Canada suggested five projects for evaluation in the CIP. <br />A total of 102 potential projects were submitted by 14 municipalities within Ramsey <br />County. An additional 88 projects were included from the previous Capital Improvement <br />Program. The cost of constructing these 190 projects totals approximately $118 million. <br />A copy of the preliminary program is attached for your information. This copy includes <br />the changes recommended by the Technical Advisory Committee at the January 19, <br />1989 meeting. <br />In response to your letter, the following projects have been scheduled in the Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP): <br />- Curbing of the South side of Little Canada Road from Schletty Road to <br />the Little Canada Fire Hall has been placed in the non - programmed <br />category. <br />- Reconstruction of Little Canada Road from Rice Street to County Road <br />C has been placed in the non - programmed category. <br />Construction of a bike path on Keller Parkway and Arcade Street from <br />Little Canada Road to County Road B2 was not placed in the program. <br />Ramsey County has no funds for construction of a bike path unless it is <br />part of a road improvement project or funds are available from Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation (Mn /DOT) for the construction of bike paths. <br />- Reconstruction of Centerville Road from the waterworks to Edgerton has <br />been placed in the non - programmed category. <br />- Reconstruction of County Road B2 from Arcade Street to Greenbrier has <br />been placed in the non - programmed category. <br />of projects within the programmed or non - programmed categories is based <br />evaluation and subsequent priority score in comparison to other projects. <br />support is one factor considered in evaluating projects.
