January 31, 1989
North Star Estates
3570 N. Lexington Ave. Suite 321
St. Paul, MN. 55126
City Council of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN. 55117
RE: Emergency Procedures - Natural Disasters
i - \
RECEV \.
city of
little Canada
Since it is the concensus of the Emergency Services Committee that evacuation
plans are the most appropriate way for the North Star Mobile Home Park to
address natural disaster emergencies, the owners of North Star Estates Mobile
Home Park propose the following emergency procedures for your review and approval.
Residents will be instructed to use the Ramsey County Garage and the Little
Canada Fire Station. Unfortunately, one of those shelters - the fire station -
is not open for residents all hours. This makes it impossible to strictly
divide the residents in the Park between the two shelters.
Upon approval of the evacuation plan, efforts will be made to form a buddy
system among the residents by the managers of North Star Mobile Home Park.
Letters will be sent asking for names, addresses and phone numbers of anyone
needing assistance in case of an evacuation. Park managers then will contact
the nearest neighbor(s) to arrange for aid.
We would make every effort in seeing that our residents are well provided for
in case of a disaster. And we feel this plan will adequately meet their needs.
ohn Vitale, Partner
North Star Estates
Enclosures
Page 4
