•••• E Cellular
One
The Mobile Telephone Company 7900 Xerxes Ave. South, 13th Floor, Minneapolis, MN 55431 (612) 831 -3531
Mr. Roger Glanzer
Director of Public Works
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Rd.
Little Canada, MN 55117
Re: Proposed Cellular One use of City water tank
Dear Mr. Glanzer:
It was my pleasure to meet with you earlier this week. Upon your
request, I have put together a brief proposal for your review.
Cellular One's facility would require space at the base of your
existing water tank to accomodate a 12' by 28' equipment shelter.
We would place 2 miniaturized sector antenna panels (each
approximately 20.5" wide by 33" high) on 3 different azimuths
around the tank. The azimuths would be 90 degrees (east), 210
degrees (southwest), and 330 degrees (north- northwest). (See
attached plot plan). There will be a total of six cellular
antennas. If adequate telephone facilities are available nearby
our telephone interconnect could be accomplished by landlines.
If these telephone facilities are not adequate, we would require
a 6' to 8' microwave dish. (See plot plan)
All antennas would be painted to match the existing water tank.
Our equipment shelter would have an attractive washed rock
aggregate finish.
The antennas could be mounted directly under the main tank
portion. (See elevation plan)
Since this would be an unmanned cellular telephone site no
utilities other than electric and telephone would be required.
There should be no increase in traffic or additional parking
reuired. Our technicians would visit the site approximately once
or twice per month for routine maintenance. Fire protection for
our facility would be accomplished by an automatic interior Halon
fire protection system.
I am enclosing a recent newspaper article regarding our facility
at St. Louis Park. We are grateful for the City of Little
Canada's foresight in helping us provide the best possible
cellular telephone service, with the least amount of impact to
the aesthetics of its community.
PAGE -27-
