Gooerman .
Chair Metropolitan Council
Nominations Committee
100 Washington Ave. S.
Minneapolis, MN 55401
Dear Mr. Ooperman:
I am writing in support_ of Arlene Vicker s appointment as
representative to Metropolitan Council District S.
I have worked with Arlene for several years through our
mutual membership in the League of Women Voters oi.
Roseville. She served as Action Chair on rte ooard of
directors during my tenure as president of that organization
U983-85), a position she has continued to hold since. In
that capacity. she communicates with legislators on behalf
of the league and facilitates our annual legislative uruncn.
1 continued to work with Arlene as Roseville League Action
Chair, while 1 served as League of Women Voters of Minnesota
Action Chair from 1585-87.
In my current role as as a school board member for the
Roseville Area Schools (1987- present) I continue to
appreciate Arlene's active involvement and interest in the
community.
Arlene is a person who would continue the tradition of fine
communication and conscientiousness that District 3 is
accustomed to with current Representative Charles Wiper.
She has demonstrated her leadership, dedication, and ability
to follow through on community projects time aria again.
She is bright, capable, and concerned that issues are Deal*_
with fairly and thoroughly. I believe Arlene's_ ability to
see the big picture in a visionary and equitable way would
be an asset to Metropolitan Council actions.
Please give Arlene Vickers every consideration for
appointment.
Sincerel y,
Mindy Greiling
PAGE- 10-
