ORDINANCE NO. <br />313 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2001.130 TO THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, <br />REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR A COOKING FIRE <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 2001.130 is hereby added to the Municipal Code of <br />the City of Little Canada to read as follows: <br />2001.130. Fires set in a fireplace, pit, or firering for <br />recreational purposes or food preparation purposes shall be <br />permitted within the City of Little Canada only after issuance <br />of a permit by the City Clerk. The permit shall be issued by the <br />City Clerk only after meeting the following conditions: <br />1. The <br />contained in <br />recreational <br />35 feet from <br />recreational fire or cooking fire shall be <br />a fireplace, pit or firering, designed for <br />or cooking purposes, and shall be located at least <br />any buildings; <br />2. The size of the fire shall not <br />by 3 feet and shall be located at least <br />lawn or grass which is 2 inches long or <br />exceed 3 feet by 3 feet <br />35 feet away from uncut <br />longer; <br />3. The person requesting the permit shall inform the <br />dispatcher of the police department of the name of the owner, <br />the address, and the telephone number of the property where the <br />fire is to be located, and the time of the fire; <br />4. A garden hose and water supply or other fire - <br />extinguishing equipment must be available and a competent person <br />must be in constant attendance until the fire has been <br />extinguished; <br />5. No fire shall be permitted if the wind is in excess of <br />10 miles per hour; and <br />6. Only clean wood may be used as fuel, and no fire <br />accelerants shall be allowed. <br />Section 2. <br />This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />Page 40 <br />
