APPERT GRIFFEL DORSHOW
SUITE 030E TOWERS • 1700 WEST HIGHWAY 38 • SAINT PAUL. MN 55113* 633 -1039
July 19, 1989
Stephen W. Grittman
Northwest Associated Consultants, Inc.
4601 Excelsior Blvd. - Suite 410
Mpls., MN 55416
Dear Mr. Grittman:
fAj
J L 201939
Y OF
UT FL CANADA
I am writing as a follow -up to our telephone conversation of
July 14, 1989.
As I explained to you I am quite disappointed that the Planning
Commission denied our request for a front setback variance.
During our original discussions you led me to believe that the
front setback variance request should not be a problem. You
also indicated that the side setback would be zero. At the
Planning Commission Meeting not only did I find out that our
request for a front setback variance was denied but I also found
out for the first time that there may be a side setback
requirement now.
It is my understanding that this issue of the side setback
problem can be discussed at the next council meeting. It is
also my understanding that the architectural plans that were
submitted to you were within code and acceptable so that once we
do resolved the boundary problems we can get a building permit
and begin construction. I will look forward to seeing you at
the council meeting on July 26, 1989. In the meantime should
you have any questions please feel free to call me.
Thank you.
RJA /cen
cc: City of Little Canada -NAC File No. 758.09 -89.33
Col.
