CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />PROPOSED FIRE HALL <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DETERMINATION OF COSTS <br />AND PRELIMINARY NEGOTIATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Facilities Committee has recommended <br />construction of a new fire hall on Centerville Road to serve the <br />city's needs for fire protection; <br />WHEREAS, the.City must determine the anticipated cost of <br />the project prior to a special election to determine whether or <br />not general obligation bonds should be issued to finance the <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, appraisals, cost estimates from a qualified <br />architect, and the execution of Option Agreements are required <br />in order to determine the amount of debt to be financed through <br />the issuance of general obligation bonds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Little Canada City <br />Council that the City Attorney is authorized to enter into <br />negotiations for the acquisition of the Centerville Road site, <br />and the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk are authorized to enter into <br />Option Agreements to acquire the site in the event a special <br />election approves the issuance of general obligation bonds for <br />the construction of the fire hall. The Deputy City Clerk is <br />authorized to hire an architect to provide an estimate as to the <br />costs of construction for the proposed fire hall, and the City <br />Attorney is authorized to obtain appraisals of the Mondor, <br />McNamara, and Weinholzer properties. <br />PASSED by the Little Canada City Council this day of <br />August, 1989. <br />Michael I.
