AUG-OS-1989 13:15 FROM SWEENEY S BORER <br />TO LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1601.210(3) AND <br />1601.330 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF LITTLE CANADA, RELATING TO FEES FOR <br />WATER SERVICE AND DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />P.O2'03 <br />Section 1601.210(3) of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />1601.210(3). For turning on water or turning off water, a <br />service charge of Ten Dollars ($10.00) will be made. If turned <br />on or off after working hours, the charge shall be Forty -five <br />Dollars ($45.00). <br />Section 2. <br />Section 1601.330 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />1601.330. Delinquent payments. Any account which remains <br />unpaid thirty (30) or more days after the bill is mailed is a <br />delinquent account. A penalty in the amount of ten (10 %) <br />percent of the unpaid balance shall be added to each delinquent <br />account. If an account has been delinquent for thirty (30) <br />days, written notice shall be forwarded to the account holder <br />that water service shall be terminated seven (7) days from the <br />date of the notice unless full payment is received at the City <br />Hall prior to 4:30 p.m. on the seventh day following the written <br />notice. An account holder may file a written request for an <br />extension of up to twenty -one (21) days from the date of the <br />written notice to pay the outstanding bill. Each household <br />shall be allowed only one extension per year. Water service <br />shall be terminated without further notice if the delinquent <br />account is not paid in full within the period of time specified <br />in the notice or in any written extension. <br />Section 3. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />PAGE -2- <br />
