Minutes <br />City Council <br />June 28, 1989 <br />Workshop Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -6 -286 - TENTATIVELY SCHEDULING A WORKSHOP <br />WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH THE FACILITIES COMt4ITTEE ON JULY <br />27 AT 7:30 P.M. AT CITY HALL. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Carla <br />Lane Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -6 -287 - APPROVING THE FINAL PAYMENT ON THE <br />CARLA LANE BITUMINOUS OVERLAY IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,493.57. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Harris <br />Water Ordinance <br />Mr. David Harris, Superintendent of Public Works, appeared <br />before the Council recommending two changes to the City <br />Ordinance pertaining to water turn -offs to alleviate the <br />problems we have with late payments. He is proposing to change <br />the charge to ten dollars for water turn -ons and ten dollars <br />for water turn -offs and an additional $35.00 to cover the cost <br />of manpower and equipment after normal working hours. He is <br />also proposing that delinqueit ac T3 nts would receive a water <br />turn -off 60 days after . The City would allow a 21 <br />day extension per household per year.' <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 -6-288 - ADOPTING THE TWO CHANGES RECOMMENDED <br />BY MR. HARRIS AND INSTRUCTING THE ATTORNEY TO DRAFT AN <br />APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays.
