CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />NOTICE OF HEARING <br />ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Little Canada <br />will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.M. or as soon as parties may be <br />heard Wednesday, August 23, 1989, in the Chambers of the City Center <br />at 515 East Little Canada Road to pass upon the proposed assessment <br />for the following improvements: <br />IMPROVEMENT 88 -16 <br />Carla Lane from Keller Parkway to Keller Parkway by patching storm <br />sewer repair and bituminous overlay. Amount to be assessed is <br />$40,190. The area proposed to be assessed is all lots, parcels and <br />tracts of land abutting said streets. <br />IMPROVEMENT 88 -19 <br />Sylvan Street from Demont to Day Street, Day Street from Sylvan to <br />300 feet West by storm sewer. Amount to be assessed is $19,737. <br />The area proposed to be assessed is all that area lying south of <br />Demont Street, north of the alley is Block 3 Bemis Heights and lying <br />between Park Street and Sylvan Street. <br />IMPROVEMENT 88 -23 <br />By grading, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, <br />bituminous pavement, pavement of new driveways and parking lot. <br />Amount to be assessed is $166,606. The area proposed to be assessed <br />is the property of the Little Canada Elementary School. <br />IMPROVEMENT 89 -2 <br />County Road C from Rice Street to Spruce Street by watermain. Amount <br />to be assessed is $13,319. The area proposed to be assessed is all <br />that area lying north of County Road C, south of Iona Lane and west <br />of Spruce Street. • <br />IMPROVEMENT 89 -9 <br />Little Canada Road from the Soo Line Railroad to Lakeshore Avenue <br />by shoulder paving. Amount to be assessed is $3,144.80. The area <br />proposed to be assessed is all property abutting said improvement. <br />The proposed assessment roll is on file with the City Clerk. <br />Written or oral objections thereto by any property owner will be <br />considered. <br />No appeal may be taken as to the amount of any assessment adopted <br />pursuant to Minn. Statutes 1984 Section 429.061 Subdivision 2 unless <br />a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed <br />with the Municipal Clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented <br />to the presiding officer at the Hearing. <br />Any owner may appeal an assessment to district court pursuant to <br />Section 429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or <br />Page 71 <br />
