MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
September 14, 1989
Pedersen again suggested that the matter be tabled.
Bendel pointed out that if the project is delayed too
long, it will not be possible to get paving done this
fall.
Drabik pointed out that at the last meeting, the
Commission requested that areas of concern be
addressed, and this was not done.
The City Planner stated that tabling the matter for a
month will not ensure that things get done.
Pedersen stated that at least the Commission may get a
plan for addressing the areas of concern.
Pedersen recommended that the applications for plan
review and Conditional Use Permit for the Slumberland
project be tabled until the October 12, 1989 Planning
Commission meeting and requesting that the applicant
respond to the areas of concern raised by the
Commission at that meeting.
Motion seconded by Schweizer.
Motion carried 6 - 1. Bendel voted against.
CAMPBELL The Commission reviewed the application submitted by
CUP Greg Campbell, 2881 Edgerton Street, for a Conditional
Use Permit to construct an accessory garage building to
be used for storage and Mr. Campbell's car restoration
hobby.
Mr. Mueller, 2885 Edgerton, appeared before the
Commission and stated that he was concerned about the
effect this proposal will have on property values in
the area. Mueller stated that homes on Edgerton north
of LaBore Road are deteriorating and property values
are going done. Mueller was also concerned about the
condition of the property in question. Mueller stated
that he objected to the proposal.
The City Planner reviewed his recommendations as
contained in his report dated September 12, 1989
pointing out that he is recommending no outside storage
of vehicles.
Page 8
