Nine bids were received. <br />The low bid was submitted by Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. We <br />are familiar with Shafer who has done work in the City in the <br />past. They are well qualified as are all the other bidders. <br />We would, therefore, recommend that the contract be awarded to <br />Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. <br />We are also attaching a revised estimated cost based on bids. <br />This is on the same page as presented at the hearing so that <br />an easy comparison might be made. <br />Yours truly, <br />C <br />Donald 0.
