NOTICE
TO ALL CITIZENS
OF LITTLE CANADA
PROPOSED INCREASE
IN PROPERTY TAXES
FOR 1990.
The Council of the City of Little Canada is proposing to in-
crease total property taxes to be collected for 1990 by 26.9 per-
cent over 1989 taxes.
Total amount proposed: $1,597,030
This change in taxes levied is not necessarily due to a decision
by the City Council to increase spending. In 1990, the State of
Minnesota will shift aid from cities to school districts. Little
Canada's taxes are $255,959, or 20.3% higher than they would
otherwise have been because of this aid loss.
This increase is a proposal only. All citizens of the City of Little
Canada are invited to attend a public hearing where the City
Council will discuss the proposed increase. The Council will
vote to approve or disapprove this amount at the hearing.
Please come and give the members of the Council your opin-
ions on this proposal.
Public Hearing
Date: December 13, 1989
Hour: 7:30 p.m.
Place: City Hall
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota
If additional time is needed, the hearing will be reconvened on
December 14, 1989 at 6:00 p.m. in the same place.
Summaries of the City's proposed 1990 budget are available
for review at City FIall.
