Changes in Little Canada Relief Bylaws
At a recent General Membership meeting it was recommended that the board pro-
ceed with the necessary steps to allow for benefit payments that will include
the entire probationary period of each member. In most cases this will mean
adding an additional six (6) months to what is now scheduled. From this point
on an individual will start accruing Relief Association Benefits from the date
he is accepted as a probationary member in the Fire Department. To make this
change to affect all currently active members will cost the fund approximately
$29,000. Bill Blesener moved, seconded by Jim Lavalle, that the Relief Associ-
ation make this recommendation to the City Council, motion passed.
Page 18
