The <br />basis for collecting this information was the result of concern <br />regarding the current Ordinance standards. In this regard, the <br />following analysis is intended to provide the City of Little <br />Canada with a review of methods available to address and update <br />their landscaping Ordinance. <br />ISSUES AND ANALYSIS <br />An informal survey of landscaping standards was initiated for <br />areas surrounding Little Canada and other various cities. There <br />is no one specific approach that has been taken as a common <br />standard in the development of a landscaping requirement. In <br />general, however, many cities interviewed had similar approaches <br />to Little Canada in their landscaping and screening requirements. <br />However, given the communities surveyed, it is believed that a <br />fair representation of the various approaches confirms a lack of <br />consistent standards for landscaping and screening. <br />In general, the following standards may be considered <br />representative of the various landscaping requirements: <br />1. Screening /landscaping is usually required where a non- <br />residential use abuts a residentially zoned area. <br />4601 Excelsior Blvd..
