This includes the State Trail, State <br />Park and State Forest development and maintenance, and grant -in -aid programs <br />for snowmobile, cross- country ski, and all- terrain vehicle. The duties include: <br />Giving field personnel direction and communicate policies needed to operate <br />trail programs. Develop spending and work plans. Set acquisition and <br />development project priorities. Administer operations and development budgets. <br />Evaluate cost effectiveness. Coordinate and negotiate land acquisitions. <br />Review project proposals and recommend action. Coordinate design engineering <br />activities and review engineering plans. Inspect development projects. Advise <br />top management regarding sensitive and controversial situations. Coordinate <br />legal reviews. Advise and assist tort liability defense. Purchase grooming <br />equipment and trail signs. Assist planners and review plans. Design public <br />information. Act as Department representative at public meetings, shows, and <br />events.
