809.070. CONTAINERS- LOCATION <br />(A) At residential dwelling units, containers for garbage, <br />rubbish, recyclable materials, leaves and lawn clippings shall <br />be placed on the curb no more than twenty -four (24) hours before <br />the designated pick up day. Bulky item4. shall be placed on the <br />curb no more than twenty -four (24) hours before the designated <br />pick up day. <br />(B) At commercial and industrial establishments, every <br />property owner, occupant or owner shall place containers used <br />for the storage of garbage, recyclables, and rubbish at or near <br />the back door of the building using the same, or at the rear of <br />the property if there is an alley. Such containers shall be <br />accessible to garbage, recycling, and rubbish collectors at all <br />reasonable times. <br />Section 6. Section 809.080 of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />809.080. COLLECTION REQUIRED. Every property owner or <br />occupant of a place of business, including mobile homes, town <br />houses, apartment buildings, and condominiums, that accumulates <br />garbage, recyclable materials, and rubbish shall provide for <br />lawful collection thereof at such person's own expense at least <br />once a week or at such other times as the Health Officer may <br />determine necessary to protect the health and safety of the <br />residents of the City. If a property owner fails to provide for <br />lawful collection as required under this Section, the City may, <br />upon ten (10) days notice by certified mail, provide or contract <br />for collection services. The costs incurred shall be certified <br />to the County Auditor along with real estate taxes as a special <br />assessment. <br />Section 7. Section 809.090 of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />809.090. SERVICE CHARGE - RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNIT. <br />(A) There is hereby imposed upon each single family <br />dwelling and each unit of a duplex, triplex or fourplex within <br />the City, from which garbage, recyclable materials, or rubbish <br />is collected or may be collected by the City or its <br />representative, a monthly charge for such services, which charge <br />shall be billed quarterly in accordance with schedules <br />established by the hauler from time to time by resolution of the <br />City Council. <br />(B) If such quarterly charge is not paid within <br />twenty -five (25) days after the last day of the billing quarter, <br />-4- <br />Page 24 <br />I <br />
