Based on <br />this discussion, here are the major points of interest as I <br />understand them: <br />* In 1973, watermain was assessed in the principle <br />amount of $1,223. Interest on this assessment was <br />paid from the period 1973 to 1987 amounting to <br />$813.82. The total amount paid related to this <br />assessment over that period of time was $2,036.82. <br />* Also in 1973, sanitary sewer and street costs were <br />assessed. The sewer amount assessed was $2,148 <br />and the street amount assessed was $1,745.04. <br />(That total is $3,893.04.) Interest paid on those <br />amounts over the re- payment period totaled <br />$2,590.54. The total amount of principle and <br />interest remitted from 1973 to 1987 equals <br />$6,483.58. <br />* In 1973, one half of the sanitary sewer assessment <br />was deferred totalling $1,948. <br />* To refund the amounts paid to -date, the total <br />amount would be $8,520.40. ($2,036.82 plus <br />$6,483.58) <br />Page 107 <br />
