Cron <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council: <br />Transmitted herewith is our Report on the Desoto Street Water Main <br />Improvements. This report reviews the extension of water main within the <br />Desoto Street right of way north of Allen Avenue. The improvement was <br />requested in order to provide fire protection for a proposed warehouse <br />addition at Slumberland. The water main would also serve to provide water and <br />fire protection to residential lots on the east side of Desoto Street and <br />industrial lots on the west side of the street. <br />The water main improvements are to be funded by the City. Assessments to <br />adjacent residential and industrial properties are recommended for the <br />reimbursement of project costs incurred by the City.
