Office of:
JOEL R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612.484 -2177
FAX: 612 - 484.4538
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and City Council, City Administrator
FROM: Dave Harris, Supt. of Public WorksO€j'>l4-
DATE: August 21, 1990
RE: Security System for the Public Works Garage
As you are aware, the Public Works Garage was broken into
on July 27, 1990 and approximately $10,000 in equipment was
stolen from the shop. Since that incident, I have
contacted several companies to obtain quotes on security
systems.
The three systems I received quotes on were ADT, Sentry and
Fire Watch. All three systems are supplying the same
materials. ADT came in the highest at $1,350. Fire Watch
came in second at $1,110 and Sentry came in third at $600.
All three require 24 -hour monitoring protection which runs
$18 -20 a month and is to be paid quarterly.
It is my recommendation that the Council approve the low
bid of Sentry Systems, Inc. at $600 with an $18 per month
monitoring fee. Copies of each bid are included with this
memo.
DBH:kpv
Enclosures
Page 13
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener,
Rick Cellova
Jim LaValle
