In order to ease
the budget crunch we are feeling now, I have investigated
the possibility of buying a used State dump truck from
Boyer Ford Trucks. I visited their shop on several
occasions whenever they have had State vehicles in there.
They have taken a trade on delivery of new ones.
I have found a 1977 Ford Dump Truck in excellent
condition. There are pictures enclosed. Here are some of
the highlights:
New CAT Diesel Engine (25,000 miles)
90,000 Miles
Reversible Snow Plow
Automatic Transmission
12,000 ib. Front Axle
22,000 lb. Rear Axle
Power Steering
Air Brakes
10 -Hole Disk Wheels
4 Yard Dump Body
Excellent Tires
This truck was listed for $15,500 and we can have the truck
for $14,999 plus sales tax ($900) and license fees ($10) as
applicable. This truck needs minor work done to it. I
have gone out and received two price quotations for doing
the minor body repairs and painting the cab and body
white. The lowest one comes in at $1,800. The only other
major expenditure towards the purchase of this truck would
be replacing the sander on the back end as the State pulls
Page 31
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
