Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is some previous information discussed relative to
the Thunder Bay drainage situation. Mike Lynch, our City
Engineer, will have more detailed information available for
Tuesday's meeting. I am meeting with him on Monday to
review this issue in greater detail.
It is my expectation that work will be necessary north of
Allen Avenue. Based on recent visits to that area after
rainfalls, it appears to me that some portions of the ditch
south of Allen Avenue will need to be re- graded to address
sporadic ponding in yards. The extent of this work will
need to be determined by the ditch profiles.
I have also discussed with Bond Counsel the possibility of
using excess tax increment funds generated from the Thunder
Bay district. It is possible to utilize these funds for
this project. Obviously, that is a policy decision the
Council will have to make.
Should you have any comments or questions regarding this
matter prior to Tuesday's meeting, please let me know.
JRH:kpv
Enclosures
Page '°1 1
