515 Little Canada Road
(612) 484 -2177
GGW ceana(k
, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
/ FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: May 17, 1991
RE: City Hall Landscaping and Parking Lot
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
I have asked for proposals from our Architects and from
Bill Sanders for landscaping and parking lot design for the
City Hall. These proposals should be in -hand by
Wednesday's meeting.
It is obvious that we will need to do some landscaping to
finalize the building project. $10,400 was budgeted in our
overall project budget for this purpose. It also seems
necessary that we need to re -do the parking lot. If you
recall, we initially decided to eliminate this from the
original project scope due to cost constraints. It was
felt that we could undertake this project at a later date.
Based on my estimates of where our construction budget is
at, I feel the funds may exist to allow us to undertake
this project now. It is my opinion that we should be
considering a total reconstruction of the parking lot area
due to the need to create more accessible parking to the
front building entrance and given the deteriorated
condition of the present lot.
The primary factor in making this decision is the
availability of funds. Here is a quick summary of where I
see our construction budget being at.
PAGE 55
