April 18, 1991
Mary Ann O'Kane
90 LaBore Rd.
Little Canada, Mn. 55117
Little Canada City Council
515 Little Canada RD.
Little Canada, Mn. 55117
Dear Council Persons,
My family is very much in supprt of the proposed
walking path to be constructed on the waterworks property,
connecting Country Drive and Lake Owasso Blvd. We walk
there and at present it is used as a place to discard used
tires and other trash. With a walkway and cleaning up,
residents will use it and therefore keep it policed.
We feel that this side of the freeway gets Trailor
Parks, Industrial Parks, and Commercial Developement,
while the East side of the freeway gets recreational
parks.
The Waterworks property is not on the tax roles, the
Little Canada Bingo Charities is willing to pay for the
path, it will eliminate a great place to dump trash. We
did not attend previous meetings on this issue because of
prior commitments and being of the belief that no one
would object to a gift walkway, on tax exempt land, which
is now used as a convienent trash dump.
The privacy issue is mute, unless you consider that
teenage beer parties need privacy.
Thankyou in advance for your consideration, and
allowing me the opportunity to be heard.
Sincerely,
V
Mar Ann O'Kane
Page 121
