Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Coilova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
At a meeting of the Senior Housing Evaluation Committee
held on July 23, 1991, it was the unanimous decision of the
members present that Presbyterian Homes be selected as the
developer with which further negotiations should continue
for the possible construction of a senior housing project.
The members in attendance were Ray Hanson, Joe Fasciana,
Claudia Drabik, John Palacio, Steve Grittman, and Joel
Hanson. The members absent were Johanna Meath and Denise
Beigbeder. It should be noted that the Stuart Corporation
proposal is a worthwhile project as well, but the
Presbyterian Homes project had more features which the
Committee felt were of greater benefit to the community.
The key factors in this decision are as follows:
* The possibility of future provision of services to
the elderly given Presbyterian Homes' mission
statement and the proximity of Little Canada to
their other facilities.
* More amenities proposed for the building which
would be of benefit to the residents and
community.
* More desireable building construction features.
Greater number of units which should have a more
positive impact on our business community.
Superior site development proposal.
Page 4
