Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is the agreement we executed relative to the
discontinuance of the recycling operation conducted by
Frattalone Excavating in Ryan Industrial Park. As you will
note, the stockpiling activities were to cease by July 31
of this year. Over the course of the next year, the piles
were to be removed and the total operation would thus be
discontinued.
Mr. Frank Frattalone has approached us regarding the
extension of that agreement in order that he may have an
alternative site available. He is pursuing a site in
Maplewood, but has not been able to obtain final approval
which will allow his operation to relocate. Attached is a
letter from Mr. Frattalone which outlines the efforts he
has made in this regard over the course of the past year.
He has indicated to me that it is definitely his intent to
relocate the recycling operation as the Maplewood site
provides him a larger site from which to work on, and also
given the fact that his land in Ryan Industrial Park is too
valuable for this type of operation.
He will be present at Wednesday's meeting to pursue this
with the City Council. I have told him that it is my
opinion that a formal amendment to the agreement would have
to be prepared upon direction of the Council. Any
questions you may have regarding this matter should be
brought to my attention.
JRH:kpv
Enclosures
Page 34
