Hanson <br />Pursuant to statutory requirements, we must choose hearing dates for <br />setting the tax levy and the budget for 1992. Hearings can be held <br />between November 15th and December 20th, with the exception of the <br />following dates due to the scheduling by the County and School <br />Districts: 11/25, 11/16, 12/3, 12/9, 12/10, and 12/17. <br />It is my recommendation our hearing dates be set as follows: <br />Hearing: Wednesday, December 11, 1991 @ 7:30 P.M. <br />Continuation: Wednesday, December 18, 1991 @ 7:30 P.M. <br />(if necessary) <br />As you will note, the hearing is proposed to be held as part of our <br />first regularly scheduled meeting in December. <br />Proposed 1992 tax levies' must also be set at this time. These are <br />maximum amounts which can be reduced by Council action. My <br />recommendation for our proposed 1992 levy is: <br />1992 1991 da <br />General Fund $1,119,460 (Max. allowed by levy limits) $1,046,140 <br />Debt Service 683,385 (Based on Debt Service Res.) 664,525 .2 4Yr <br />$1,802,845 $1,710,665 (J5 <br />You will note the total levy proposed is increased by 5.39% over <br />1991. <br />Please formalize these recommendations at Wednesday's meeting. <br />Page 69 <br />
