Van Dyke Street Telephone (612) 7774707 <br />Maplewood, Minnesota 55109-3796 Fax (612) 777-6519 <br />Gregory A Mack, Director <br />November 19, 1991 <br />Mr. John Keis, Chairman <br />Little Canada Recreation Association <br />Softball Tournament <br />3094 Payne Avenue <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 <br />Re: Permit for Lake Gervais Beach Area <br />Little Canada Recreation Association Slow Pitch on Ice Tournament <br />January 18 and 19, 1992 <br />Dear Mr. Keis: <br />In response to the letter we received on November 14, 1991, permission to <br />conduct a softball tournament on January 18 -19, 1992, at Lake Gervais and <br />permission to park a semi — trailer on park property for warming house <br />purposes is granted, subject to the following conditions: <br />1) The parking lot must be plowed prior to the tournament by the <br />Ramsey County Public Works Department at no cost to the Ramsey <br />County Parks and Recreation Department. The lot must be plowed <br />to accommodate participants and spectators. Please contact <br />Ralph Tschida, 484 -9104, to make arrangements for plowing. <br />2) No alcoholic beverages will be permitted in the park area. <br />3) Picking up of all litter shall be the responsibility of the <br />Little Canada Athletic Association. Ramsey County will provide <br />trash barrels for use by the Athletic Association. The Little <br />Canada Athletic Association shall provide dumpsters for <br />collection and removal of all trash generated by the event. <br />4) Permission must also be obtained from the-Ramsey County Sheriff. <br />5) Any turf damage must be repaired or restored by the Little <br />Canada Athletic Association. Vehicles will not be permitted on <br />parkland, except on roadways and parking lots. <br />6) "Beware of Thin Ice" signs must be posted where appropriate. <br />7) A minimum of two portable: toilets must be supplied by the <br />permittee and they must be pumped on Saturday night to prevent <br />pollution of the lake. <br />Page 30 <br />
