515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484 -4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: October 18, 1991
RE: Revised Resolutions
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Please find attached two resolutions revising those adopted
at the Council meeting of October 9, 1991. They relate to
the determination of costs and the adjustment of costs to
be assessed for the Thunder Bay improvement project (89 -14)
and the Desoto Street improvement (90 -21). These revisions
became necessary after doing a more detailed analysis of
specific assessment break outs.
Regarding the Desoto Street project, the total cost of the
improvement has increased from $314,720.00 to $333,628.00.
This was due to the allowance of right -of -way acquisition
from Pioneer Park. In the original resolution, I had only
allocated costs for 17 feet of right -of -way acquisition of
Pioneer Park. In reviewing the minutes in greater detail,
I have found that I should have allowed for 27 feet. This
change obviously affected the total price of the project
and had impact on the cost factors utilized to determine
the break down between the City's share of costs and those
to be assessed to benefited property owners.
In the Thunder Bay project, the total cost of the
improvement has remained the same. However, I had made an
error in calculating the credits to be applied to the
project. Therefore, the amount to be assessed has
decreased from $55,587.00 to $54,856.13.
P4g-e 3 7
