Hanson
City Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Re: Revised Liquor Ordinance
Our File No. 6749
Dear Joel:
•
Telephone `'r
(612) 222-2541
Facsimile
(612) 223-5289
Please find enclosed the original of a revised Liquor and
Beer Ordinance, which contains the recommendations of the
Council at the last meeting of February 27, 1991. In general,
the distinction between the A and B licenses has been replaced
by "On -Sale Restaurant" license and "Nonintoxicating Liquor"
license. All present license fees may subsequently be changed
by resolution of the City Council.
The number of authorized "on- sale" intoxicating liquor
licenses shall not exceed six, with five of the licenses being
the normal intoxicating liquor licenses and one being "on -sale
restaurant" intoxicating liquor license.
The hours of operation in Section 703.140 now allow
"on -sale" on Christmas Day and allow both "off- sale" until 10:00
p.m. on Christmas Eve. The evacuation ordinance relating to
intoxicating liquor is now the same as that relating to
nonintoxicating liquor, which allows customers to consume
beverages on the premises until 1:30 o'clock a.m.
Would you please review the enclosed and submit the same to
the Council for their consideration and review. Would you
please contact me if any additions or deletions are necessary.
As we discussed, we will anticipate responding to Steve
Morelan's memo early next week.
TMS:gc
Enclosure
Yours very truly,
SWEENEY & BORER
- (4rnabv Tht . 5c;3-4 eirzy /5c
Thomas M.
