Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
The parcel owned by the City at the corner of Ruth and Demont
has been identified for possible sale. As you can see from the
attached Conveyance of Forfeited Lands, the City acquired a Land
Use Deed for this parcel identifying its use as exclusively open
space and park purposes. Our investigation did not reveal any
need for the property from a utility and drainage standpoint.
There has been some interest expressed in this property,
therefore, the Council should consider whether or not to retain
the property based on input from both the Planning and Park
Commissions.
Should the Council decide to sell the property, the County
indicates that their preference would be for the Land Use Deed
to be withdrawn and the property put up for auction. Proceeds
from the sale, after payment of expenses and assessments, if
any, would be divided between the County, School District, and
City in the normal manner. It would also result in the
placement of this parcel back on the tax rolls.
P a'g"e ` °27
