Office of:
JOEL R. HANSON, Administrator
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
612. 484.2177
FAX: 612- 484 -4538
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Dave Harris, Public Works Superintendent% f
DATE: January 18, 1991
RE: Meter House on Roselawn Avenue
Lately we have been experiencing problems with our
transmitter and recorder at the metering station on
Roselawn Avenue. This is due to the age of the equipment
as it is beginning to wear out. I have asked for quotes
from several different companies to install a new pressure
transmitter and a recorder with a totalize of readout. As
of this date, they have not gotten back to me. However, I
expect the cost for this to come in under $5,500.
Also, attached with this memo is a letter from St. Paul
Water explaining to us that our master meter is under
recording the actual water flow. This is due in part to
the present recorder that is constantly acting up. I have
also talked with Bonestroo on this matter. They
recommended getting the Bailey as it is one of the best out
on the market and should give us many years of trouble free
service.
I am at this time requesting permission to proceed with the
purchase of a new pressure transmitter and recorder for the
metering house on Roselawn Avenue. If you have any further
questions, feel free to contact me.
DBH:kpv
Enclosure
Paag
'7°6
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
