James A. Olson
2944 Arcade St.
Little Canada, Minn. 55109
TO: The City of Little Canada
January 7, 1992
MOTION
The Little Canada Recreation Association recommends that the
Jim and Chris Olson family run and operate the concession stand at
Pioneer Park, for and during the activities at the park, and in
turn, pay a commission of ten percent (10 %)of the gross proceeds to
the City of Little Canada, for a period of two years. After the two
year period, the commission will be renegotiated.
I propose to buy and maintain the equipment needed to run and
operate the concession. I will allow the Little Canada Recreation
Association to use the stand and the equipment for their fund raising
events.
If I am given approval of this motion, I will carry the insurance
required by the city, and list the city as co—insurer.
I plan to operate this business in a clean and civic minded manner.
I will operate it in a conscientious way, with quality products sold
at a fair market price.
I would assist the city in opening and securing the building
during events. The area around the building would be policed for
trash after each event. Items such as glass and straws would not
be used. As for products to be sold, at this point I would consider
starting with basic items, such as popcorn, chips, hot dogs, pop
and coffee, and expand on products as the market would demand.
I would like a decision on this motion, as I am in need of time
to secure financing and to purchase the required equipment.
Respectfully submitted,
 U 4 pc O\,Sz--
James A.
