January 07, 1992
Mayor Raymond Hanson /City Council Members
Little Canada City Hall
515 East Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council;
I am writing to you as a former resident of Little Canada and past
member of the Little Canada Recreation Association. At the present
time I no longer live in Little Canada but I have a strong
affection and loyalty for the community. It is with that as a
background that I make the following comments.
I understand there is the possibility that Roseville's Rec Program
is being considered for administrating the Little Canada program.
I would hate to see that happen for a couple different reasons:
First, I believe by being as close to the program as we are today,
and having our own little Canada Rec Department administer it, we
offer better opportunity to the youth of Little Canada. I just
cannot believe that Roseville would be as sensitive to the needs of
Little Canada's youth as the citizens of Little Canada themselves.
Secondly, I am opposed to Roseville's running Little Canada's
program as I believe one of the real fringe benefits of having our
own association is that it brings many good people together which
in turn creates a wonderful community spirit....the same spirit
that makes Little Canada stand out as a great community in which to
reside and raise a family.
There are many people who over the years worked hard to establish
what I believe is one of the most organized and productive youth
programs in the state. As the old saying goes, "If it ain't
broke...don't fix it ", and this program is in very good hands as it
stands.
Page 5
REFLECTIONS °IN°VIDEO
Incorporated
2626 East 82nd Street
Bloomington • MN 55425
612 . 854.4164 Fax 612. 854.4350
