FEB -21 -1992 11 :00 FROM SIAEENEY & BORER TO LITTLE- CRNRDR P.04 /09 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 815 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA REGULATING LAWFUL GAMBLING TO MODIFY PROHIBITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO PAST CRIME$ OR MISCONDUCT OF DIRECTORS, MEMBERS OR CONSULTANTS The City Council of the City of Little Canada ordain: Section 1. Section 815.010 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: 815. LAWFUL GAMBLING 815.010. LAWFUL GAMBLING. The City of Little Canada hereby reserves all rights to regulate lawful gambling, as provided in Chapter 349 of the Laws of the State of Minnesota, and all subsequent amendments thereto, including the right to approve premises permits or bingo hall licenses for lawful gambling subject to whatever conditions the City Council deems necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. Lawful gambling is permitted in the City of Little Canada if the organization conducting the lawful gambling meets the following criteria: 1. Meets the requirements of Minn. Stat. §349.16(b) through (h) and is duly licensed by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. 2. Has maintained an address within the City for at least three years prior to the application. This requirement may be waived for an existing organization which does not comply with this requirement if approved by the City Council at the time of the license renewal immediately subsequent to the passage of this Ordinance. 3. Complies with all of the provisions of this Ordinance and State law. 4. Provides confirmation that no officer or member of the governing body of the organization has been convicted in State or Federal Court of a felony or gross misdemeanor within five (5) years immediately prior to the issuance of the license or has ever been convicted of a crime involving gambling or has had a license issued by the Board or Director revoked for violation -1- Page 9
