FEB -21 -1992 11 :00 FROM SIAEENEY & BORER <br />TO LITTLE- CRNRDR P.04 /09 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 815 OF <br />THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />REGULATING LAWFUL GAMBLING <br />TO MODIFY PROHIBITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS <br />RELATING TO PAST CRIME$ OR MISCONDUCT <br />OF DIRECTORS, MEMBERS OR CONSULTANTS <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada ordain: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 815.010 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little <br />Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />815. LAWFUL GAMBLING <br />815.010. LAWFUL GAMBLING. The City of Little Canada <br />hereby reserves all rights to regulate lawful gambling, as <br />provided in Chapter 349 of the Laws of the State of Minnesota, <br />and all subsequent amendments thereto, including the right to <br />approve premises permits or bingo hall licenses for lawful <br />gambling subject to whatever conditions the City Council deems <br />necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. <br />Lawful gambling is permitted in the City of Little Canada if the <br />organization conducting the lawful gambling meets the following <br />criteria: <br />1. Meets the requirements of Minn. Stat. §349.16(b) <br />through (h) and is duly licensed by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br />2. Has maintained an address within the City for at least <br />three years prior to the application. This <br />requirement may be waived for an existing organization <br />which does not comply with this requirement if <br />approved by the City Council at the time of the <br />license renewal immediately subsequent to the passage <br />of this Ordinance. <br />3. Complies with all of the provisions of this Ordinance <br />and State law. <br />4. Provides confirmation that no officer or member of the <br />governing body of the organization has been convicted <br />in State or Federal Court of a felony or gross <br />misdemeanor within five (5) years immediately prior to <br />the issuance of the license or has ever been convicted <br />of a crime involving gambling or has had a license <br />issued by the Board or Director revoked for violation <br />-1- <br />Page 9 <br />
