May 22, 1992
City of Little Canada
515 E Little Canada Rd
Little Canada, MN 55127
Mayor Hansen and Members of the City Council,
I'm writing to you in regards to the issue of shoulder
paving along Twin Lake Blvd. Our property runs along
approximately 120' of said roadway. We, my husband and
myself feel that extending the road improvements to include
a paved shoulder would be a timely and welcomed addition to
the community.
It is our understanding that such an improvement would cost
residents roughly $1.00 per foot of property adjacent to
the road. I think this is a small amount to pay for the
safety of our children and those adults who routinely walk,
jog or bike this route, my family included.
I'm aware of the concern that this exten;3ion to the road
would develope into a passing lane for some motorists. Perhaps
adding a four -way stop sign to the intersection of Twin Lake
Blvd and Twin Lake Rd would minimize this problem.
I was unable to attend the last city council meeting and
will be unable to attend the upcoming one also due to work.
However, I just wanted to voice my opinion in hopes that it
will be heard along with those present.
Sincerely,
Susan Como
3337 Twin Lake Rd
Little Canada, MN 55127
Page 1
