l�d <br />� IG <br />III <br />im <br />�IG <br />IG <br />I. a <br />SANDERS <br />WACKER <br />WEHRMAN <br />BERGLY <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Little Canada Park Commission <br />FROM: Bill Sanders <br />DATE: June 18, 1992 <br />RE: Landscaping at Thunder Bay Park <br />LANDSCAPE 365 East Kellogg Boulevard <br />ARCHITECTS Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br />AND 612- 221 -0401 <br />PLANNERS Fax: 612-297-6817 <br />Last Fall, the Park Commission met with John and Carolyn Otto of <br />3040 Valento Lane to review problems with park users trespassing on <br />their property. <br />The Otto's had requested that the City install additional split <br />rail fencing between the trail and their property to prevent people <br />from cutting across their yard to the cul -de -sac or from <br />encroaching on their property with bicycles, dogs, etc. <br />The Park Commission decided against providing a fence because they <br />felt that they would be establishing a precedent that would require <br />fencing in other park areas. They did recommend landscaping as an <br />acceptable method of helping to solve the problem and the Otto's <br />were told that some landscaping would be considered this year. <br />I have prepared the attached sketch plan as a recommendation for <br />landscaping along the trail. I am recommending that the City <br />purchase the following landscaping materials from Southview <br />Landscape, in accordance with their low unit price bid: <br />4 ea 6' ht.
