Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
8111 Blesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
As part of the financing package for the proposed senior
housing project, Presbyterian Homes plans on raising
$450,000 in donations to pay for various amenities.
$230,000 has been raised, but the final goal has not yet
been achieved. To this end, it had been suggested to
Presbyterian Homes that they approach our local charities.
One of their officials asked me if the City would be
willing to help them with introductions and explaining our
position on the project to the charities.
Given the fact this involves the solicitation of charitable
gambling funds, I informed Presbyterian Homes that the City
Council should authorize the process if I or any other City
Official were to be involved. I suggested to Mr. Dan Lindh
that he discuss this with the Council at our meeting on
September 9, 1992. He will be present to answer any
questions relative to this request.
JRH:kpv
cc: Dan Lindh, Presbyterian Homes
Page 26
