MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 10, 1992 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of <br />December, 1992 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Gene DeLonais called the meeting to order at <br />7:30 P.M., and the following members of the Council <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Gene DeLonais <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Ms. Claudia Drabik <br />Mr. Steve Garske <br />Mr. Art Herkenhoff (arr. 8:05 P.M.) <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES There being no corrections, the minutes of the November <br />12, 1992 meeting stood approved as submitted. <br />CUP & Mr. John Grabrick, 2354 Greenbrier Circle, appeared <br />VARIANCE before the Commission requesting approval of a <br />2354 Conditional Use Permit to expand a non - conforming <br />GREENBRIER single - family house and a Variance for to allow a two <br />CIRCLE foot sideyard setback. Grabrick reported that his <br />GRABRICK home was constructed in 1981. The soils on the lot <br />were peat, therefore, the foundation was placed on <br />pilings. The placement of the foundation was inspected <br />and approved by the Building Inspector. Grabrick <br />reported that it was not until 1988 that the <br />encroachment was discovered. At that time Grabrick <br />discussed the problem with the City and it was <br />suggested that he attempt to purchase a strip of <br />property from his neighbor to bring the setback into <br />compliance. Grabrick reported that he attempted to do <br />this, but was unsuccessful. He has again contacted the <br />owner of the lot, Mr. Greg Ryan, and offered to buy <br />either a portion or all of the lot. Grabrick reported <br />that he is waiting for a response from Ryan. <br />Page 1 <br />
