Mayor & City Council <br />November 18, 1992 <br />Page 3 <br />Our system is just opposite of most other cities in paying more for <br />supervision of our facilities than for maintenance. I feel this <br />works out to expending less money overall to run these facilities, <br />while getting the more mature employees in the positions where they <br />are of the most benefit. Little Canada has long had the best run <br />skating rinks in the area, along with the most well maintained ice <br />surfaces as attested to by parents, coaches, and children who are <br />familiar with other facilities as well as ours. I feel we should <br />maintain this level of service that we have been providing and do not <br />believe we can if we substantially change the current wages and age <br />of personnel. <br />JM:kv <br />Page 12 <br />
