I +? 25d74 ceemaaa
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(612) 484 -2177 / FAX: (612) 484-4538
MEMORANDUM
TO: Edgerton Street Property Owner(s)
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: October 30, 1992
RE: Water Main Project
MAYOR
Raymond G. Hanson
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Biesener
Rick Collova
Jim LaValle
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Pursuant to Council directive at the improvement hearing
for the above - referenced project held October 13, 1992, I
am hereby transmitting to you the enclosed Property Owner
Opinion form. This form will be used to determine your
interest in the water main project and the preferred manner
of assessment assuming it proceeds.
Since the meeting on October 13, the City Engineer and I
have been analyzing the number of lots available for the
project as well as the assessable lineal footage. Based on
this analysis, we have included assessments for the NSP
lots. However, other lots originally anticipated to be
included in the project have been deleted due to the
existence of water main already serving their property or
due to the availability from the Vanderbie /Allen project.
The net effect is instead of having 82 lots, we now have 81
upon which an assessment can be based. This results in the
cost per lot increasing from $3,813.45 to $3,860.53. The
per lineal foot cost for this project, consistent with the
figures used in calculating the per lot cost as indicated
in the Engineer's feasibility report, is $38.19.
Therefore, a 100 foot lot would yield an assessment of
$3,819 based on these estimated costs.
We would ask that you complete the enclosed form and return
it to us by Tuesday, November 10, 1992 in the
self- addressed, stamped envelop. Properties not responding
by this date will be tabulated as in support of this
project. Only one form per property will be considered and
it must be submitted by the current owner of record in
order to be fair to all affected properties.
