Now, our con-
cern is simply this, right near the north edge of the
frontage road are several Williams Brothers Pipelines
which contain various petroleum products including
natural gas. Those lines, as you know, in several areas
in Ramsey County have sprung leaks. There have been
several right here on Viking Drive, one right in front of
our home. We have read of instances wherein petroleum
products have leaked from such pipelines and followed
another line or excavation right into adjacent houses.
We feel we would be a good deal safer if the waterline
were placed adjacent to the present sewer line which is
about one -half the distance from the front of the houses
involved and Viking Drive frontage road.
A secondary reason for our choice of location is the fact
that it would be less expensive to hook up to the water
source.
We have talked to several neighbors and they feel as we
do about the location of the waterline.
We would appreciate your considering our request.
Yours very truly,
Page 7
