Hanson TO: Mayor Hanson and Members of the City Council FROM: Kathy Glanzer, Administrative Assistant RE: Proposed Change in Little Canada Fire Relief Association By -Laws The Fire Relief Association is proposing an amendment to their By -Laws in order to allow greater ease in insuring that checks can be issued in a timely manner. Bob DeBace has indicated that he will be present at Wednesday's meeting to answer any questions the Council might have about this change. Below is the current and proposed wording of the particular section proposed for change: CURRENT WORDING ARTICLE 9 FUNDS 9.3) Disbursements - No disbursement of the funds of this Association shall be made except in accordance with applicable law and by checks drawn by the treasurer and countersigned by the president. Except when issued for salaries, pensions, and other fixed charges, the exact amount of which has previously been determined by the Board of Trustees (or the members in the case of the General Fund), no check shall be issued until the claim to which it relates has been approved by the Board of Trustees.
