Frattalone bid of $867,017.20 is substantially below the Engineer's estimate of <br />$967,300. The contractor has done a number of construction projects for the City of Little <br />Canada and is capable of completing this project in a satisfactory manner. <br />There were two (2) alternate bids associated with the contract. Alternate Bid No. 1 allowed <br />for the use of recycled aggregate base in lieu of crushed limestone. Alternate Bid No. 2 <br />allows for an extension of the Phase 1 completion date from June 30, 1993 to July 31, 1993. <br />The City has reserved the right to award the project on the Base Bid or either of the two <br />(2) Alternate Bids. <br />F.M.
