Services Northwest Youth & Family Services $3,000 <br />This is the reduction in their <br />requested contribution we made <br />pending availability of money <br />in the 1993 budget. <br />Commit- Fire Vaccinations 1,900 <br />ted <br />Fire Compressor 17,000 <br />This item gives the Fire Dept. <br />the ability to fill self - contained <br />breathing apparatuses to a higher <br />level of air which allows more <br />time with each tank. <br />Fire <br />Fire <br />Fire <br />Refurbish 741 <br />This truck is 18 years old, has <br />never been painted, and is the <br />only yellow truck in our fleet. <br />It is in need of repainting due <br />to nicks, rust, etc. which is <br />beginning to appear on its <br />surface. The dept. would like to <br />paint it red to match the other trucks <br />and add several safety features to <br />it at the time of painting. They are <br />also preparing to equip it to serve <br />as a command center vehicle at the <br />fire scene. <br />Uniforms <br />It has been over 21 years since <br />their last purchase of dress <br />uniforms. The uniforms they <br />have are becoming tattered and <br />tacky looking. Many of our <br />firefighters have outsized the <br />uniforms and it is difficult to <br />find new uniforms which match the <br />old ones. They feel we need to <br />have decent looking dress uniforms <br />for public functions such as those <br />during fire prevention week.
