MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 22, 1990 The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. GAMBLING The Council reviewed the Application for Exemption from LICENSE - Lawful Gambling License submitted by the North End NO. END Business Club for a gold plate dinner to be held at the BUSINESS Venetian Inn on Sunday, October 28, 1990. Council noted that the police report is satisfactory. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90 -8 -389 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE SUBMITTED BY THE NORTH END BUSINESS CLUB FOR A GOLD PLATE DINNER AT THE VENETIAN INN ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1990 PROVIDED THERE IS NO SALE OF PULL TABS BY THE NORTH END BUSINESS CLUB AT THE DINNER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. HAZMAT The City Attorney reported that he has received a CONTRACT letter from the city attorney from St. Paul indicating their understanding of the HazMat Contract between Little Canada and St. Paul. The Attorney reported that the contract is in appropriate form. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90 -8 -390 - APPROVING THE HAZMAT CONTRACT V% WITH THE CITY OF ST. PAUL AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
