PROCLAIMATION <br />ARBOR DAY <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada has been recognized by <br />the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree <br />City, USA since 1991; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada recognizes that trees <br />beautify our surroundings, improve our quality <br />of life, increase property values and enhance <br />the economic vitality of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has had a successful program of <br />planting trees in City Parks, along streets and <br />other public spaces; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has encouraged residents and property <br />owners to plant trees on private property <br />throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is currently implementing a tree <br />planting program throughout the City through the <br />Minnesota Re -Leaf Program; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I Raymond G. Hanson, <br />Mayor of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota do <br />hereby proclaim April 30, 1993 as Arbor Day in <br />the City of Little Canada. <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the month of May be "Arbor Month" <br />and that an observance of Arbor Day and Arbor Month will be held <br />on April 30, 1993 at Pioneer Park in the City of Little Canada. <br />Raymond G.
