A total of five bids were received as follows: <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Alber Construction <br />Aero Asphalt, Inc. <br />Ashbach Construction Co. <br />$139,914.20 <br />$144,748.90 <br />$151,817.80 <br />$161,008.00 <br />$175,210.40 <br />The Tower Asphalt bid of $139,914.20 is 15% below the Engineer's estimate of $161,107. <br />We have worked with this Contractor in other communities outside of Little Canada. The <br />Contractor is capable of completing this project in a satisfactory manner. <br />There were two (2) Alternate Bids associated with the contract. Alternate Bid No. 1 allows <br />for the cleaning of Industrial Park drainage ditches. Alternate Bid No. 2 allows for the <br />installation of the Little Canada Road Storm Sewer Improvements.
