I propose that we try this creative scheduling the rest of this <br />year and next year. This will give us the opportunity to see how it <br />works during the summer and winter months. I also suggest that we <br />keep the uniform patrol staffing at current levels for 1994. <br />If you decide to give this option a try, we won't be ready to <br />effect the necessary changes until September or October because of <br />the demands placed on us by operation rescue. This type of an <br />operational change will require a considerable amount of research <br />on the patrol division's staff end, and with operation rescue <br />staring us in the face, we don't have the time to donate to it just <br />now. <br />The choice and level of service is up to you. I am not trying to <br />sell you one over the other. I and the entire patrol division will <br />work with what ever decision you make. THANK YOU. jb <br />Page 62 <br />
